The majority of people can see the colours in the surroundings. There is a sickness called ' colour blind ' which will cause the person to be unable to differentiate colours. Colours can be studied in different points of view. People can study colours in a scientific way through physics, chemistry, anthropology and psychology. People can also study colours in an artistic way through art and design. In Kevin Todd's studies, people sees the secondary quality of objects known as subjective. This is why every person sees colours differently. Kevin has conducted two major projects based on colours from a few countries. The name of the project is Chroma 256. These projects are conducted by a group of students from different schools. The students collect data and rearranged the colours according to the results given. The targets consist of children, the students themselves and senior citizens. The targets are given keywords to come up with matching colours. The children will have the brightest colours whereas the senior citizens will have dimmer colours. Colours do mean a lot in life.
